Connected applications

Supporting a blockchain rewards ecosystem across multiple applications

A rewards wallet system connected APIs, frontend applications, payments, calculations, and multiple teams.

At NexGaming, I worked on a blockchain wallet system that supported a rewards point ecosystem built around Ethereum-based partial coin redemption. Users could collect reward points through participating retailers, coffee shops, mini-games, and related applications.

The work included frontend, backend, and API layers to support responsive web apps and multiple connected applications. The APIs supported reward coin calculation, payment processing, and asset management.

I built and managed several teams responsible for different parts of the client’s projects. The wallet went live with the reward systems application set.

This project showed how connected products need more than a frontend. They need data flows, API design, user flows, payments or rewards logic, and teams that can coordinate across the pieces.

How this applies

The same pattern shows up in smaller business systems too.

The scale may change, but the work still starts the same way: understand what is really happening, organize the moving parts, then build the next useful thing.

MethodMade translation

For a small business, that might mean clearer service pages, cleaner intake, better follow-up, usable documentation, or one practical automation.

1

Understand the real situation

Start by separating the visible problem from the actual workflow, people, tools, constraints, and risks underneath it.

2

Organize the moving parts

Turn the scattered pieces into a clearer map: what exists, what matters, what is missing, and what should happen next.

3

Build the next useful system

Create the practical next layer: a page, process, automation, document, or tool that can be understood and maintained.

Use this thinking for

  • API planning
  • Connected application systems

Helpful when you need

  • Rewards workflows
  • Product buildout

Often connected to

  • Technical leadership across multiple streams
